tcg: The Communication Group is an award-winning global social media company headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York City, the UK and South Africa. We have created our blog with the philosophy of gently explaining how social media can make both a social and business impact, hopefully helping to eliminate the spread of unnecessary jargon. In addition, we are learning from the blogging community and linking to highly intelligent and/or thoughtful individuals who also have a lot to share.

Our sustainability interests/beliefs have been woven through the company since its inception. We are proud to be among the first fifty green-certified businesses in San Francisco. An avid environmentalist, Clare E. Munn our CEO and founder, passionately supports and promotes sustainable practices and believes social media can help reach the “mildly curious,” creating a faster social impact/understanding of the importance around sustainability.

We are especially proud to endorse the Bay Area Green Business Program and strongly encourage other companies, both local and national, to do whatever they can to run a ‘green friendly’ business.

tcg is dedicated to building awareness in the business community about the benefits of becoming green certified. Throughout this booklet [using one of tcg's technology tools called tcg: Stick] we explore the value of the Green Business Certification Program as well as introduce our own preliminary 12-step system, which outlines simple changes businesses can implement immediately. We are offering this assistance free of charge to companies seeking to change their environmental footprint.
