Your Green Message and Obama: How to Communicate with a President

January 20th is almost upon us! Most of us are on the edge of our seats in anticipation. There is much twitter going round about the inauguration, global chatter transcending cultures, party affiliations and platforms. This is pure hope and enthusiasm unlike no other inauguration, dare I say in history. What most of us feel particularly hopeful about is the intelligence that surrounds the new Obama administration. In our last blog we spoke about Obama’s Green Team, and bear with us as we are going to toot the green horn once more. There are some incredibly intelligent, inventive and passionate people associated with various green initiatives that have organized the Green Inaugural Ball happening on January 19th in D.C. Sorry folks, like almost every event in town, there are no more tickets available. Do check out, though, the team and site behind it all. GEN09 – Green Economy Network is an entity made up of clean technologists, venture capitalists, private funders, NGOs, distributors and consumers. There’s room on the site to upload a video, and a selection of the best videos will be shown at the ball.

This encouragement of digital participation is simply wonderful. We all become influencers in our own communities and become part of a larger conversation at the same time. Coming straight from the president, and everybody in his White House, can inspire real developments. People will no longer look at social media as a mindless trend, or something “only kids get,” but a real tool to affect all our worlds. More and more, we’ll discover that we are individual parts of communities that want and need our participation. Where will we be in one year, or four, or another decade, if we all took our participation earnestly?

Go ahead, share your thoughts AND get a message to Obama. Be part of the conversation of change.

    President Obama,

Please read Frank Rich’s Sunday oped piece in the New York Times. It’s stating that something must be done to make sure banks and brokerage houses are not able to repeat their actions in the future. The American people are sick of being ripped off and sick of feeling you are getting not totally behind the need for financial reform. This could be your populist issue. Why isn’t it? Please do something to help us.

I live in Charlotte, NC, home of Bank of America. We have more than 12,000 homes that may go into foreclosure. This is national disaster. Please focus on this.

It’s a wonder the populace hasn’t taken to the streets.

The Winds of Change are coming to the USA and the Winds of Change must begin with a Green president who empowers investing into Clean Wind Energy!!! Time to actually DELIVER the campaign promises and clean wind power is the answer and the solution to our global pollution/energy needs

Focus on the CONTENT of His Character, Not the Color of his skin (which in this case is GREEN thank god!!!)
